“A point or principle on which scattered or opposing groups can come together; Each member of the unit is briefed on the location of the rally point and they know that if things go sour they are to make their way back to it. Even if things go well they withdraw to the rally point after an operation, regroup, assess their situation and proceed to the next stage of the operation.” “A rally point is a place where a patrol can reassemble and reorganize if dispersed during movement; or temporarily halt to reorganize and prepare for actions at an objective; or temporarily halt to prepare to depart from friendly lines; or temporarily halt to prepare to reenter friendly lines.”
the term, “I’ve got your 6″ is understood to mean the team you are serving with has your back……or represents the call sign for the Command….we have a community of Leaders ready to assist on the path forward for our service members and their families…
is the physical location in the community where the service member, veteran or family member can personally link up with community organizations that will assist on their next steps forward to their new objective. A place where community meets military and welcomes them to “friendly lines” as they transition and reintegrate into new communities. The support received includes an assessment of each individuals situation and providing guidance to their “next stage of the operation”. The “6″ in RallyPoint/6 represents defines the community now has their back - we all share the leadership responsibilities in supporting the mission.
